We're Empanadas.io! Privacy is a human right, so lets cover how data is handled while you're here! We've taken extraordinary measures to make sure your data is safe and secured when visiting. Some methods we use include rigorous password hashing, the latest end-to-end encryption, firewalls, anti-spam, IP blacklisting and more.

Your Data
When you give us stuff, we'll remember it for you! When you make an account, you may give us an Email, Username, and Password. To let you log in, these are all kept securely in our database. Passwords are encrypted and can never be decrypted or viewed by anyone. Even without an account, we may still collect IP Addresses &Browser Info and store them temporarily for security and analytical purposes only. With an account, we save the following:

Data Usage
We process and store your information when you use our website to make it work better. All account related data processing is done locally on our United States and/or Canada based server. Data such as website visits, duration on pages, and other analytical data is aggregated, and will never be used to personally identify you.
Sharing Info
We will never sell or hand over your personal information. Any birthdays, emails, passwords, or names you provide to us when creating an account will never be shared or sold with anyone. We use Cloudflare to speed up our site and improve security, by doing so they may collect minimal browser info to provide their services to us. Additionally, we use Google Analytics to improve our understanding of how the site is used. Should we be sold, bought, or merge; user data shall only be migrated to our successor on the condition that they follow this policy verbatim. Please note this privacy policy does not cover 3rd party privacy practices. Any 3rd parties such as Google or Cloudflare that gather data will typically collect the following:
- IP Address and Browser Type when visiting pages.
- Timestamps and view durations to help us gauge which features are popular.
- Minimal browser information to improve functionality.
Cookies &Tracking
We use Cookies amongst other technologies for account access and game progress, only when directly visiting our website. We will never use these methods for purposes other than handling user logins and ensuring the website's health. Cloudflare and Google may set cookies when visiting our site to help improve the accuracy of our sites analytics. Storing Your Information
If you decide to create an account with us, we need to save that info to our server so you can log back in. We will store account info for as long as your account is activated. We also will keep logs of account activity for up to a year to help secure your info and help you if you get locked out of your account. If you choose to deactivate/delete your account, logs may persist for up to a year. All data is stored and processed in the United States and/or Canada.
Ads
To keep things free, advertisements may occasionally appear. We use Google AdSense to help us cover costs.
- 3rd party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to your website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to show ads based on your visit to Empanadas.io and/or other sites on the Internet.
- Users may opt-out of personalized advertising by visiting Ads Settings. (Alternatively, you can opt out of third-party cookies for personalized ads by visiting aboutads.info ).

Copyright Requests
Empanadas.io does not turn a profit from traffic or ads. That being said, our website may contain protected or copyrighted content. Should you feel the need for removal or questioning of any content on our website, please contact us . We will act and respond promptly. Icons, Logos, Images, and other resources are the property of their rightful owners.
Delete Your Data
Should you wish to delete your account at any time, you can do so here . Afterwards, we'll instantly deactivate your account and after a maximum of 90 days we'll completely remove any remaining account records. Browser &IP information may still be collected, retained, and processed to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our TOS , and/or comply with legal requirements. Other information such as Cookies can simply be erased by doing so in your Web Browser. Should you decide to completely block cookies, you may lose access to certain portions of our website. You may also submit a request for partial data deletion (like deleting your saved birthday) here .
Data Breach
A privacy breach occurs when there is unauthorized access to or collection, use, disclosure, or disposal of personal information. If we become aware of a security breach that has resulted or may result in unauthorized access, use, or disclosure of personal information, Empanadas.io will promptly notify you and investigate no later than 72 hours after having become aware of it unless the personal data breach is unlikely to result in authorized misuse. By having an account, you wave Empanadas.io of any liability should a Data Breach occur. You also agree to waive any liability Empanadas.io would incur should such an event occur, as you accept any risks that are associated with storing your data.
Do Not Track (DNT) Requests
Older browsers may send a special request asking not to be tracked. These requests don't change how our website responds since we don't track you or your personal information in the first place. All data collected is for analytics or security purposes only!
Children's Protection
We do not knowingly process or save any information of users below the age of 13 in compliance with United States law. Citizens of the European Union under the age of 16 must get approval from a parent or legal guardian to create an account.
California Rights
California Civil Code Section 1798.83, aka the “Shine The Light” law, requires websites to allow California residents to access or delete all their records at any given time. We gladly give all of our users this right, regardless of residency. All account info can easily be found through the account and log pages. Updates To This Policy
We may revise this privacy policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by a revised date at the top of the page and will be effective as soon as it is accessible unless otherwise noted. If we make material changes to this policy, we’ll notify you via a notice on our site or via email.
